You get a greater sexual thrill from dominating someone then you do from the actual sex. Now the same is true for a sub you have that need to be dominated to get full satisfaction.

This of course varies person to person... for some people D/s play are a sometimes thing but they get along fine without it. Other people it is a physical requirement for orgasm, they need to feel the bond holding them or the praise/insults from the Dom to find release. Or for the Dom side they need to have the sub under them the edger to please attitude or simply someone to spank.

This of course leads to the third category Switchs. They can fill either role maybe even switching midstream as it were and get satisfaction from both positions. Some times there is a greater need to play one role or the other. Some people will switch not because they want it but because they want to please their partner... and as sweet as that is it often fails because they don't have the 'desire' to play in that role.

Heh I often see Doms playing sub for their lover and it is can be unconvincing because their heart is not in it... same with subs taking up the Dom role. Some of them can do it Very well because they simply do what they want done to themselves... Others not so good because they can't break past the sub mindset.

Ran across this thread while checking to see if there was a side story for this week.

I do enjoy domination play, but it's not an absolute requirement for for me to enjoy sex. I'll also sub for the right person, but that's primarily for her enjoyment; it's not something I enjoy on a regular basis.

On a side note, has the issue with registration been fixed as yet? When last I attempted, it said to check my email for further instructions, and I received no such email. And, since I made the attempt, I am unable to post under the name I had tried to register.
