Houston, we have a problem.

Hey guys, I have an announcement. I'm pretty sure HOWL 1.5 won't make it up today. The power chord for my computer no longer makes a secure connection, and it's been all I can do the past few days to keep my MacBook from dying on me. If I move the computer in just the right way the chord will disconnect just enough to drain the power.

For those that don't know, the power chord of a MacBook Pro is magnetic, which means it doesn't just pop off even if it isn't actually "connected." The only way I can tell whether or not it's still charging is to keep an eye on the power meter in the top. Normally there's a light on top that tells me if it's working, but my light stopped working awhile ago.

Needless to say, this has not made for an emotional state conducive to writing, especially writing of the sort 1.4 needs to be. A big dramatic sex scene will not materialize when I'm paranoid I'm going to loose power at any moment.

Stressed? Who, me?

If anyone has a few extra dollars to throw my way, please consider it. A new power chord for a Mac is round about 80 dollars. I've been content to allow donations to trickle in as they will, but it's not hyperbole at all to say that without this chord I literally cannot write. If you enjoy what I do, please help me out with this.
